Dear all,

These are the CLAROS examples from Sebastian Rahtz I just mentioned in
the meeting:

not really. looking at what we are doing at the moment with CLAROS
(launch next
week! we should be exposing a SPARQL end point to our collection of
20 milion CIDOC CRM triples), our extensions now consist of
stuff like this:

     <crm:P4_has_time-span>
       <crm:E52_Time-Span>
         <crm:P82_at_some_time_within>
           <claros:Period>
             <claros:period_begin rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#gYear
">-550</claros:period_begin>
             <claros:period_end rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#gYear
">-500</claros:period_end>
           </claros:Period>
         </crm:P82_at_some_time_within>
       </crm:E52_Time-Span>

and

   <E47_Place_Spatial_Coordinates>
       <claros:has_geoObject xmlns:claros="http://purl.org/NET/Claros/vocab#
">
         <geo:Point xmlns:geo="http://www.w3.org/2003/01/geo/
wgs84_pos#">
           <geo:long>13.78</geo:long>
           <geo:lat>45.64861</geo:lat>
         </geo:Point>
       </claros:has_geoObject>
     </E47_Place_Spatial_Coordinates>

As ever, what I really lack is expression of certainty. When we say

                <crm:P87_is_identified_by>
                    <crm:E48_Place_Name rdf:about="http://arachne.uni-koeln.de/identifier/place/argos
">
                       <rdf:value>Argos</rdf:value>
                    </crm:E48_Place_Name>
                 </crm:P87_is_identified_by>

we are not adequately expressing either that the place may be called
Argos or maybe Argod, or that
we are not quite sure the thing came from Argos at all.z
