Dear Martin, all
[QUOTE]
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: “Underpinning the digital
transformation that we are likely to see over the coming decade is the
creation of the next generation of the web – what is called the
semantic web, or the web of Linked Data.”
[QUOTE]
Wow!
I hope one day Russian administration say something like Prime
Minister Gordon Brown said :)
His speech may make our life easier :))
By the way, it would be nice if you have a look at the "rdf-face" of the
OKD (Open Kunstkamera Data) Project.
We build a LOD infrastructure for the Kunstkamera (MAE RAS) catalog
(http://www.kunstkamera.ru/kunst-catalogue/index.seam?c=PHOTO) using
the CIDOC CRM.
The project is in its final phase, and is still being developed at the moment
(e.g. the mapping is far form the ideal one).
But I really need any feedback from the SIG members and anyone else!
Resource descriptions (just click on them :)
Museum object description:
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/data/item_kunst_72381
an Instance of the CIDOC CRM class E8.Acquisition Event:
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/data/Z_E8_Acquisition_Event_e29baeaf-2967-4039-bc32-cf1468b437e3
A concept (representing Place) from the museum vocabulary:
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/voc/Concept_1219
Links to LOD entities (dbpedia, geonames etc.) will be added soon.
I also really need real-world references (URIs) to the CIDOC CRM
concepts and properties in the linked data cloud.
(I use "http://cidoc.ics.forth.gr/" now, which is in local store - not
accessible from the web)
One who is interested could
1) OpenLink RDF browser to navigate the (human readable) RDF store:
http://demo.openlinksw.com/rdfbrowser/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fkunst.openmuseumdata.org%2Fdata%2Fitem_kunst_72381
or
2) the "test" service (human unreadable :)
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/test/?uri=http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/data/item_kunst_72381
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/test/?uri=http://cidoc.ics.forth.gr/E22_Man-Made_Object
http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/test/?uri=http://kunst.openmuseumdata.org/voc/Concept_1219
