[Crm-sig] Hotels in Helsinki during the CIDOC CRM SIG meeting

For those still making arrangements for the CIDOC CRM SIG -meeting and workshop in Helsinki, Gala Hotels seems to have a very good booking service where prices and distances are clearly marked. I don't have experience about the booking service itself, but the general guidance is good.

Go to http://www.galahotels.com/Info/Finland/Helsinki.aspx  and klick on the link "Atheneum Art" (under "What's nearby" in the  middle of the page). This will show the nearest hotels in different  price ranges. You will find several good alternatives within just a few  hundred meters of the meeting place.

"Atheneum" is the name of the museum building where we initially will meet. (Entry through the small door to the right of the main entrance.) It's in  the middle of Helsinki opposite to the Railway Station. Ask for  "Atheneum" if you need to ask for  assistence/directions in the street (no one will know if you ask for  "The National Gallery").

A moderately priced hotel within walking distance is Hotel Arthur, but you will have a selection of many hotels in different price ranges nearby.

The tuturial on Wednesday 27.1. at 10:00-13:00 will be held in the Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. The afternoon session on Wednesday will also be held there. It is within walking distance from the Atheneum building. Find Google Maps directions below:
